Sort order: DPS balanced against cost, not raw DPS alone
This page ranks units by weighing max DPS against Cost Efficiency (DPS per 1000 spent) together — a unit with lower raw DPS but much better value per point spent can rank above a higher-DPS unit here. For a pure DPS-only ranking, see Best DPS instead — the order there is different on purpose.
Read this before chasing a "best unit" recommendation
Two of the units most commonly recommended as "the best" by third-party content are actually no longer obtainable: Golem (limited exclusive, removed after its June 2025 event) and Astraflora (limited stock of 10,101, sold out after its February 2026 event). If a guide tells you to farm for one of these, you can't — they're gone. This page separates units you can actually still get from ones that are historical strength references only.
Currently obtainable, ranked by DPS + cost efficiency combined
Only units with a Cost Efficiency figure the wiki explicitly states are ranked here — we don't calculate our own (the wiki's formula divides max DPS by cumulative upgrade cost across all 5 levels, not just the base placement cost, so a guessed calculation would likely be wrong).
| Rank | Unit | Rarity | Max DPS | Cost Efficiency (DPS per 1000 spent) | How to get it |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Rafflesia | Godly | 1500 | 162.2 — highest verified so far | Mystery Trader shop, 20% stock chance |
| 2 | Venus Flytrap | Godly | 3750 | 71.9 | Enchanted Summon crate, 0.01% chance |
| 3 | Stun Flower | Godly | 450 | 38.3 | Tropical Summon, 0.14% chance |
| 4 | Beehive | Godly | ~900 (computed) | 32.1 | Bee Summon, 0.01% chance |
| 5 | Bouncing Shroom | Godly | 3200 (splash/AoE) | 22.1 | Greenhouse Summon, 0.005% chance |
| 6 | Confusion Plant | Godly | 734 | 19.3 | Tropical Summon, 0.01% chance |
These aren't strictly "better/worse" in a single dimension — they fill different roles:
- Rafflesia is a trap unit (attaches to a mob as it passes, drops off on death, reattaches) with by far the best value per point spent of anything verified so far.
- Venus Flytrap has the best single-target cost efficiency among the pure-attacker units.
- Stun Flower stuns enemies on hit — the only obtainable crowd-control unit with a stated Cost Efficiency figure, filling the role Golem used to before it was discontinued.
- Beehive is a spawner with infinite range — it summons bees rather than attacking directly, and the wiki itself flags its stat table as possibly out of date.
- Bouncing Shroom trades cost efficiency for area damage (bounces down the track, radius 9), making it better against grouped enemies rather than a single high-value target.
- Confusion Plant turns enemies around to walk backward — a different kind of crowd control than a stun, useful for buying time rather than locking a target down.
No longer obtainable (historical reference only)
| Unit | Rarity | Max DPS | Cost Efficiency | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Golem | Exclusive | 2167 | 52 | Removed after June 2025 event |
| Astraflora | Exclusive | 7050 | 61.7 | Sold out, limited stock of 10,101 (Feb 2026 event) |
Astraflora fires a piercing beam that refracts onto additional enemies behind the target — it is not a support/buff unit, despite some secondhand summaries describing it that way.
Unconfirmed
- 23 units have been individually verified against the wiki so far (20 obtainable, 3 discontinued), out of 353 total in the game. Only 6 of those 20 have a stated Cost Efficiency figure — the full "best units" candidate pool has not been checked yet.
- No creator-tested video or official Discord consensus has been checked for this category yet.
We're intentionally listing fewer units with real numbers rather than a longer list borrowed from unsourced tier rankings.
